This website is operated by Get Home Realty Inc., carrying on business as Get Home Realty, Brokerage (“Get Home Realty”, “we”, “us”), a real estate brokerage registered in Ontario. Our office is at 218 Export Boulevard, Unit 101, Mississauga, ON L5S 0A7.
We are committed to protecting your personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you fill in a form on this website, we collect the information you choose to give us:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- what you are looking for (for example buying, selling, pre-construction or leasing), your timeline and the area you are interested in;
- whether you agreed to receive marketing messages, and when.
We also record basic details about the submission: the date and time, which form you used, the page address, and any advertising campaign tags included in the link you followed (for example utm_source or utm_campaign).
If you call us, message us on WhatsApp or contact us on social media, we collect the information you share in that conversation. WhatsApp and social media platforms also handle your information under their own privacy policies.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request and connect you with a registered real estate agent.
- To provide real estate services you ask for, such as finding, buying, selling or leasing a property.
- To send you listings, market updates and news, only if you ticked the marketing consent box or otherwise gave us permission.
- To understand which advertising campaigns bring enquiries, so we can improve our marketing.
- To keep records required by law, including records of your consent.
We do not sell your personal information.
Consent and marketing messages
By submitting a form, you consent to us contacting you about your request by phone, email or text. Marketing messages are separate and optional: we only send them if you tick the marketing box. Every marketing email or text tells you how to unsubscribe, and you can withdraw consent at any time by replying “STOP”, using the unsubscribe link, or contacting us using the details below. We will act on your request within 10 business days.
Who we share it with
We share your information only as needed to serve you:
- Our agents and staff, who handle your enquiry.
- Service providers who help us run this website and deliver your enquiry to us, including our website host (Netlify), our form delivery service (Web3Forms) and our email provider. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Others involved in a transaction, such as lawyers, lenders or other brokerages, only when you go ahead with a transaction and as required to complete it.
- Authorities, where required by law or by the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO).
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country.
Cookies, analytics and similar technologies
This website uses your browser’s local storage to remember, for your current visit only, whether you have already seen our consultation pop-up, so it is not shown again. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
We may use analytics and advertising tools, such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel, to measure visits and the performance of our ads. These tools may set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as long as the law or RECO requires us to keep brokerage records. Records of your consent to marketing are kept for as long as we send you messages and for a reasonable period afterwards. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, organisational and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections on this website and access limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada of any breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to its use, subject to legal and contractual limits. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer below. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
